Well I'm a scientist to be 8-) going into the microbiological field. I have already finished 4 years and finally received my AA and AS in Chemical Technology (Biomedical emphasis). This fall, 2009, I am starting my classes at UCF for my Microbiology and Molecular Biology BS degree. After that I plan on attending graduate school for my PhD and possibly my MD as well if I can get into a MD/PhD program. I want to concentrate on virology and immunology, and hope to do research on the Ebola virus, as well as other viruses and micro organisms. Once I finish school I plan to make application to the CDC as I would like to work in the level 4 laboratories as well as do field research. In other words, when the next "novel H1N1" virus breaks out, I'll be one of the first on site researching who was the initial case, where they contracted it from, it's method of transmission, the life cycle, virulency, etc... for example. I CANNOT WAIT. THAT is my lifelong dream!

I also am with a wonderful man. We've been together for over 5 years now. Willie works in banquets and as a bartender. God bless him for standing beside me, especially after deciding to close down our construction/renovation business and return to school last year. We both love to travel all over, ride roller coasters, go to the beach, work out, relax at home and just watch movies, and just about anything fun.

We have two cats: Boo boo, a black and white tuxedo, and Precious, and pure white persian. They both have funny personalities. It's also been funny to watch them grow. We got Precious in 2008 at the human society after our rottie passed away. She was too cute, but very easily frightened as she was abused. Now over a year later she is one of the best cats, but she still has that stuck up persian attitude. They both have picked up each others habbits over the past few months, it's too cute.

I've been asked, "What does Cardiotripsy mean?" Well, the story behind that is that in my medical terminology class, we had to create a word with word-roots. Cardio, as most you know (I hope), means heart. Tripsy is a medical term suffix meaning to crush. So therefore, cardiotripsy means literally to crush a heart; The Heart Crusher, that's me!! LOL Yeah right. But the name stuck with me after I made it and got my good grade!
